If only my 5 year old still let me pick her clothes (without an argument)

So I realize I've blogged quite a bit about what I want...materially. Maybe someday I'll delve into deeper things but for today's post, I'm still going to fantasy shop but this time for my kids. Now, mind you, this is only pretend shopping for them (at least for now.) The way I usually purchase clothes for my kiddos is at Target, haphazardly throwing things in the cart hoping everything will work when I get it all home. My 5 year old - going on 15 - has quite the mind of her own and gravitates to all things "blingy." I think she does this to push my buttons. For now, I've been able to steer her away from the glittery Selena Gomez shirt and we've settled on a happy compromise with a shirt featuring a sequined cupcake. But this is what I wish she would wear...

Look, I'll even throw in a Hello Kitty dress!

Stay tuned for the next installment...when I pick clothes for my son!

Don't Put Off Today What Can Be Done Tomorrow

For the past four years I've been eyeing this dress for my daughter. For some reason I always put off purchasing it (mostly for fear of her outgrowing it 5 seconds after it arrives. She grows so fast!) Well today I'm buying it and I am so excited! It's just a classically beautiful dress. On the plus side, I am killing two birds with one stone. I plan on pairing it with a Wednesday Addams wig and striped tights for her Halloween costume.

On another note I plan on changing up the routine today. Instead of walking around the same park we stroll through everyday, I think I may drive downtown so my son and I can walk around the river. New sights and sounds may be fun for us both.

What changes will you make in your routine today?
